I was in New London this evening shooting a young gal who is having Quinceanera in the coming months. I was planning on shooting out in the back woods of this beautiful town, but plans changed quickly and we ended up downtown. On my way back to my vehicle I happened to see this adorable sign. Two things I love; Cute signs, and COFFEE. I met the owner (sweetheart!), enjoyed my cold press and headed home. I will be back seeing as how they are the only coffee shop in the area open until 9pm and the coffee was amazing! People say the town of New London is tourist-y but honestly, I find it to be more artsy. On one half of main street behind all of the cute shops there is a peaceful river that runs through and a walkway next to it leading to a brewery called 'goat ____' something. Antique stores, brewery, coffee shops and cafes... It really is an adorable town. I totally expected to see more hippies around town with how everything was setup. Loved it!

The Goodness Coffee House
Confession.... As obsessed as I have been with Coffee Shops for the last 6 years or so, I must admit, I NEVER drank a sip of it until last winter. I used to be the girl who would walk in and order a fruit smoothie, sit in a booth and read a good book while listening to some bluegrass folk music in my MD player... That's right, MD player. Old school. It's been years since I went to a coffee shop and got to relax. It. was. NICE. Now because I am not a long time coffee drinker and I only really drink iced coffee made from my husbands forgotten pot of hot coffee. I wasn't too sure what I should order. OVERWHELMING options! I wasn't brave enough to try the lavender coffee... Maybe next time. I was trying to play it off cool like I actually knew what I was ordering. Trying to remember the names of the fru fru drinks my husband usually orders. I failed. On the plus side.... Iced coffee DOES in fact get better than Burger Kings BK Joe. There is a fancy term to what I ordered... I think I got a vanilla caramel COLD PRESS coffee. I'm learning... Next coffee shop I'll be a little more experienced. Yay!
